Jazz compilation | mix

This is a compilation of the beginning of your jazz listening journey. If you are a musician or an avid jazz fan, these tunes should be in your playlist. Many jazz jam sessions feature tunes from this list. The main jam session forms include: 12 bar-blues (listen to Freedie Freeloader, or even One for Daddy-O), the I’ve Got Rhythm Changes (listen to Oleo), Jazz Standard AABA form (listen to Four), Bebop (which is a genre and form, see Now’s the Time), and Modal Jazz (which is also a genre and a form, listen to So What).

Listening to a jazz compilation | mix

This is by NO MEANS an end all jazz compilation. The fun about listening to jazz is that there is always something else to inspire you, whether a recording by the masters, or at a live event (I highly recommend you to go out and see some jazz performances, that is what jazz is about). If you like these then stay tuned for the deep cut version of jazz jam session tunes.
